We are thrilled to announce our new HEAVY DUTY cello packaging.
Cello is a tough gig. It's the most beautiful of 'plastic' packaging, as its made from natural cellulose and totally biodegradable, but it can be fragile. We choose it for our packaging to bridge the gap between attractive retailing and home-grown environmentalism, but the occasional pack has had a tendency to split open in transit. Luckily, soapnuts are not fragile, so while this has not hurt our little soapnuts, it can be surprising to open a post satchel and have soapnuts jump out into your lap! Our long hours of research have finally led us to the packaging we have been searching for - thicker cellophane bags! We are now supplying all our 250g packs of soapnuts in new "heavy duty" biodegradable cello bags, and the 500g packs will follow suit shortly in custom made bags. Until then, the 500g packs will be double-bagged in standard cellophane until the new bags arrive. Three cheers for Mother Nature, cellulose, and sturdier soapnut packaging!
