The Kitchen Garden Project - Stage 2 - at the CarriageWorks is having their Launch Expo on Saturday, February 6th. Info session, Guest Speakers, Market and Demonstrations!
Saturday 1pm-4pm, February 6th 2010
It's back! CarriageWorks presents the second stage of our immensely popular Kitchen Garden Project.
At CarriageWorks we believe that creativity extends into all facets of life, including finding creative ways to save our planet.
CarriageWorks’ Kitchen Garden Project is a series of free community activities and workshops based on the notion of creative sustainability.
Under the guidance of sustainability expert and coach, Michael Mobbs, join us in building an organic kitchen garden from scratch. Whether you’re into organic home grown vegies or are interested in saving on grocery bills, these workshops will teach you the principles of environmentally friendly ‘no-dig’ gardening, so that you can then apply the skills to your own urban space.
To find out more, first attend the FREE INFORMATION EXPO, where you will be able to access a wide variety of organisations, practitioners and sustainable businesses, engage with inspiring speakers, listen to some great music and enjoy a drink with friends. Then join the evolving workshops including: construction of planter boxes; composting; worm farms; soil prep; seeds and germination; planting and plant care and finally, harvest.
